SECRETS OF EXAMINATION SUCCESS
Exams frighten almost everyone. Fear of failure and even success can affect even the most able/brilliant students. Written with the busy student in mind, this article offers a new way to succeed in exams.
In case you are thinking that all these advice is a waste of time and space, let me warn you that many clever students have met with failure because of panic, a last minute breakdown or brain-fag in the exam hall itself, due to mental or nervous tension.
In this article, you will discover SIX secrets of exam success; I hope you found it very helpful!
HOW TO REMEMBER WHAT YOU READ
The best way to remember is to repeat; and the best way to repeat is to “TEACH” someone else-- a classmate, a younger brother or sister, or if nobody is prepared to listen, practise your new knowledge on your cat, dog, chairs, or pet goldfish! What you teach, you cannot forget.
WHAT DO EXAMINERS WANT?
I need you to understand the fact that, examiners are human beings like you. So, do not fear, just be confident in your ability to pass your exam. I am going to share with you seven (7) basic things Examiners Want; study them, apply them, and get the good result you earnestly desire. Here:
1.      They want you to pass
2.      They want you to do what is asked
3.      They want you to follow instructions
4.      They want you to answer the question(s)
5.      They want you to structure and present your answer in a way that is easy to follow
6.      They want your answers to be legible
7.      They want you to finish the paper
THREE FRIENDS YOU MUST HAVE
A)     Good handwriting: It is important to know that, your handwriting must be legible enough for any examiner to see and read what you have written down on your answer script/booklet. Many students lose valuable marks as a result of bad handwriting; endeavour to write clearly.

B)     Correct Spelling: This is so important if you must pass your tests/exam(s) excellently; improve your spelling regularly. Next to bad handwriting, nothing irritates an examiner so much as bad spelling.

C)     Reliable Memory: All your study efforts will be useless if you cannot remember what you read. Examinations are basically meant to test our understanding of a particular subject/course of study. It’s important that you exercise your brain regularly so that you can be able to retain information and, most importantly, remember them whenever you need to (especially in test/exam situations).

OBEY EXAMINATION RULES
Every examination has its own rules and instructions on how to structure and present your answers. As a wise student, it’s therefore, important that you carefully read the instructions on both the question paper and the answer script/booklet.
Make sure you do exactly what you are asked to do, and you will be on your way to passing your exam with excellent grades.
DON’T BE SUPERSTITIOUS
Avoid consulting astrologers, palmists and others who profess to tell the future. Remember that you are the master of your destiny. If you work well, you must succeed.
BE CONFIDENT
Here is what I discovered about the secrets to exam success:
·         Your Overall Mindset Matters: Having the right exam tactics is important, but it is the mindset that you bring to the application of those tactics that really counts.
·         Your Self-belief Matters: If you build strong belief in your ability to succeed in exams, you can unlock more of your potential for an outstanding result.
·         Your Composure Matters: If you can be relaxed and composed under pressure, you can make better exam strategy decisions and easily recall more of what you know.
